What qualifies

We include substantive macroeconomic research, data and policy analysis from identifiable publishers with a reliable way to access their work.

We look for sources that help readers understand economies, markets and policy. Inclusion reflects research value and editorial fit, not agreement with every view a publisher expresses.

How we assess

Source profiles bring together publisher ownership, coverage, pricing, access, formats, delivery and publication frequency. Editorial assessments explain where the research is particularly useful.

Ownership: Official publishers speak for a public institution; independent publishers are editorially separate from the institutions they cover; commercial publishers sell research, data or related services.
Access: Public sources are open to everyone. Others may require registration, a paid subscription or an invitation. Pricing and access are recorded separately so the practical route to the research is clear.
Editorial judgment: “Best for” and editorial notes explain where a source is most useful. They are contextual judgments, not scores, rankings or investment recommendations.

How we verify

We check publisher identity, research coverage and access details. Profiles show the verification status and date of the last check, where available.

Information can change between checks. A stale verification label means the listing is due to be checked again. Confirm current pricing and access conditions with the publisher before subscribing.

Commercial boundaries

Source selection and assessments are editorial decisions. Payment cannot buy inclusion or a favourable assessment. Featured placements reflect editorial emphasis; sponsored placements must be clearly labelled.

A sponsored placement requires a visible disclosure. Relevant relationships or limitations that could affect how a listing is understood are recorded alongside the source.

Corrections and removals

Report an error or outdated detail using “Suggest a correction” on a source profile. Our editors check the evidence before updating a listing.

Sources that no longer meet the inclusion criteria can be removed from public discovery. Their editorial record is retained.
