About Alpha Capture

Built on 25+ years across hedge funds, banks and asset managers.

Alpha Capture is operated by Harkster Limited, a London-based team with experience inside the investment institutions it is being built for.

It exists to address a specific problem: when research changes an investor’s view, the source and original reasoning are too easily separated from the decision and what happened next.

The private product is being designed. It is not a released investment system or a provider of investment advice.

The company

Its origin

The Kernel structures the research. Alpha Capture follows the idea.

The Harkster Kernel was built to turn institutional research from sources such as email, files, and APIs into structured, indexed data while retaining provenance.

That work led to the question behind Alpha Capture: once research changes an investor’s view, how do you retain the connection between the source, the interpretation, the eventual expression, and the outcome?

Alpha Capture was born from the Harkster Kernel to carry that chain forward. It is being designed around a dated record of the idea, so a later review can consider what was known and believed at the time rather than the outcome alone.

Relevant experience

Experience from inside the institutions it is for.

The team brings well over 25 years of experience across hedge funds, banks, and asset managers. That experience informs the research problems Alpha Capture focuses on and the practical boundaries around how investment professionals work.

This background is not presented as evidence of investment performance. Alpha Capture does not recommend investments, allocate capital, execute trades, or replace an organisation’s compliance, risk, or information-handling controls.

Editorial approach

A published claim should be traceable.

Editorial material is produced by the Alpha Capture team at Harkster Limited. It explains alpha capture as a category, examines research and decision workflows, and records the direction of a product that is still being designed.

  • Sources are attributable. External and category claims are supported by identifiable sources where they are used.
  • Interpretation is labelled. Alpha Capture’s own analysis and product direction are distinguished from established category definitions or third-party facts.
  • Material is reviewed. Copy is checked for factual accuracy, clarity, and consistency with the product’s current status before publication.
  • Corrections are made. Material errors are corrected when identified, with publication or modification dates shown where they are relevant to the piece.

Editorial material is general information. It is not investment research, a recommendation, or investment, legal, or tax advice.
